Directors, Tao Wainwright, Jamie Walker and Ben Webb have a combined experience of over 70 years and have worked together for over 15 years.

Both Jamie and Ben completed their bricklaying apprenticeships with Tao many moons ago and flourished as part of Build Plus, working predominantly in the Reigate area.

Jamie started WBS in 2010, building up a small team of talented apprentices, whilst Ben took on the role of Tao’s right hand man as Build Plus grew into a much larger team. Tao, Jamie and Ben maintained a strong friendship and working relationship and have collaborated on several large projects over the years. Now as both teams have experienced high demand for work and an increasing interest in large projects like new builds, it made sense to merge the companies and provide customers with the capacity to take on larger jobs and a more diverse skillset.

In 2018 Jamie graduated with a 1st class honors in Historical Building conservation from the University of York adding another dimension to the Surrey Bespoke Construction offering. Many of the SBC team have now had experience working on listed buildings and this is something they are very confident in doing and keen to grow in the future.
